Does anyone actually prefer this to the convertible or fastback? Don’t get me wrong I think when done right they can look quite good but for me they never reach the level of lust I have for a 65 Fastback.
Side note the hardtop lines on the Cougar are very sexy.

You’re right on both counts. But those awful torq-thrusts on the Cougar need to go.

Yep, 64-66 hardtops are my favorite. Helps that my dad had 2 when I was a kid.

YES, I love me a notch. Better looking than the vert any day of the week and at least wash with the fastback.
Also, if we want to talk fox body I think the notchback is the best looking of the bunch

I absolutely prefer it over the convertible, and put it on par with the fastback.

Can’t say ive actually ever found any gen mustang that good looking. They aren’t ugly but they are never pretty either. They are just mustang, very distinctive, but not pretty or even bad looking if you follow. So basicly im saying this isn’t any worse or better to me than any other mustang.

Fastback is my preference, but I like all of them.

My FIL is selling his...
I’m really not a mustang guy, and especially not a 65 hardtop guy... but it grew on me after all the driving and wrenching. It’s very tight and European-like, unlike muscle cars and later mustangs I’ve been in, which we’re purely muscle cars. The Moto-lita wheel helps.

Yes. My mother had a 64 1/2 as her first car. So yes.

Yes. I do. Specifically, I love blue ones like the one in the top photo.

I will say the fox notch is fair cleaner than the fastback.

Not a Mustang guy really, although i do appreciate them. Early cars (lets call them mk1s) i definitely think look more balanced with the notchback. Mk2s with the greater front overhang look front-heavy design-wise with a notch but just right with a fastback.

Houses are the worst! Living in a garage with a bed should be socially acceptable

It’s cool, I guess. There is a garage attached to it so that’s nice.

For the 64, 65, and 66 Mustangs I actually strongly prefer the coupe. 67 and later fast back all the way.
